We are HoopGram. You do not need to arrive knowing what you want to buy. We would simply like to tell you why we started this company.

We are deeply curious about artificial intelligence. If it helps a person understand a question they could not understand before, or make something they could not make before, how much more might become possible? We want to keep exploring, towards more general intelligence. We do not have that answer yet, and we will not describe an ambition as a destination already reached.

Some questions are far away: what the universe is like, and where else we might go. Others are close: who to spend time with today, and what is worth making slowly. The technology we want to build should help people reach farther and leave room for these nearby questions.

It can begin with something small. An unfinished paragraph. An idea put aside for a few days. A photograph you do not want to lose. They may not look like important data, but they are traces of a life being lived and a mind at work. Good tools should treat them with care.

Today, we often move our lives to follow our tools. A new application means explaining ourselves again; a different model means gathering our materials again. We want to try turning that relationship around. Have a place of your own, then invite the AI and tools you choose to help you there.

Hoop is the answer we are working on now: a personal computer of your own, with AI and files in the same environment. Open it in a browser and bring something you want to do. We want the system to handle the complicated care, so a person who has never managed a server can spend their time on their own work.

It is still being built. We will explain what is available and what remains unfinished. Saying “yours” is no substitute for working backups, permissions and recovery. You can read about the product and its boundaries, then decide whether it is right for you.

We also care about the day you no longer need it. Cancelling a service, deleting a machine and deleting an account are different decisions. They should stay different. A person's choice should not become a company's retention problem. We want to make good tools and protect your right to choose other ones.

Exploring the wider world and getting closer to a person's inner life are connected for us: knowing more, being able to do more, and still deciding for yourself how to live. AI does not get to define a worthwhile life for you.
