TERMS
Terms of Service
This page explains what you buy from HoopGram, who is responsible for what, and how you cancel and leave. It is written in plain language and says the same thing as the checkout and account pages. Last updated: 2026-10-14.
Current status: invitation testing; subscriptions are not open
Hoop is currently being tested by invitation. Paddle payments are not open. The subscription and payment descriptions on this page do not mean you can buy now; existing users follow their agreed arrangements.
Where Basic runs, and how free periods and gifts work, will be explained together before subscriptions go on sale. Installing Hoop Matrix on your own computer is still in development; no installer is available.
Who is who
- Operator HoopGram (Chinese name 金箍剑心) is run by its founder, Xingyun, as an individual. Once a company is registered, this page will name the registered entity. Legal notices go to hello@hoopgram.com.
- Merchant of record Paddle payments are not open yet. Once available, payments handled by Paddle.com will use it as merchant of record for charges, invoices, tax collection and refunds under its buyer terms. The operator's legal name will appear on checkout and invoices.
- You The owner of the Hoop. You must be at least 16 years old, and you are responsible for the content and activity on your machine.
What you buy
- Service fee A monthly service fee that buys upkeep: the machine stays on, the system updates itself, backups run as you configured them, and someone deals with problems. Personal prices include tax. The service fee is the only revenue we set a price on.
- Machine Machines for Pro and Business are passed through at the supplier's list price with zero markup. When sales open, checkout will show the service fee and machine fee separately. Available machines and hosting options will be explained before sales open; Basic hosting is not finalized, and Hoop Matrix installation on your own computer is still in development.
- AI Models are metered at the provider's list price with no markup. You can use our pooled allowance, bring your own key, or switch to a local model. You set your own monthly AI spending cap and can see usage at any time.
- Your Hoop is yours The AI conversations, memory, files, mail, keys and app data on your Hoop are yours, not hoopgram.com content. You can export everything, move it to another machine, or delete it at any time. Account ownership is not data access: we manage your account and billing, we do not read your machine.
Acceptable use
The machine is yours, and there is only one kind of rule: do not harm others, and do not cost us the ability to run machines for everyone. On machines under our cloud account the following is not allowed:
- Mining, running the whole machine at full load for long periods, or subletting or reselling the machine to others.
- Attacking other systems, scanning other people's machines, or sending bulk unsolicited mail or messages.
- Storing or distributing content that is illegal where you live, or infringing other people's copyright, privacy or other rights.
- Impersonating others, or circumventing the terms of the machine supplier or the model provider.
What we are and are not responsible for
- Upkeep Keep the machine running, ship signed system updates, run backups as you configured them, and show the real status on the account page. When something fails, the page shows the real error instead of reporting success.
- Not reading your data We do not read the conversations, files or mail on your Hoop. The account page sees only whether the machine is online, whether the backup succeeded and whether the update completed.
- Suspension On a valid legal notice, or while a machine is attacking others or sending bulk unsolicited mail, we may pause a machine under our cloud account. Pausing does not delete data; we write to you with the reason and the conditions for resuming. This is the only rule in these terms under which we act unilaterally.
- What the AI does The AI acts on your instructions. Mail it sends, commands it runs, trades it makes and pages it browses count as your actions. AI output is not medical, legal, financial or investment advice.
- Third parties When a machine supplier, model provider or payment platform fails, we do what we can and tell you plainly, but our liability for the resulting loss is limited to the service fees you paid in the last twelve months.
- As is The service is provided as it currently is. A capability that has not yet appeared in your account is not a promise; the docs and pages say which capabilities work today and where the gaps are.
Cancelling, stopping and leaving
- Cancel any time You can request cancellation at any time; for now, write to billing@hoopgram.com. Service continues to the end of the paid period, with no further charges. You can request a full refund without giving a reason within fourteen days of payment; see refund policy.
- Failed renewal If a renewal payment does not go through, the machine keeps running for fourteen days and we write to ask you to update the payment method. If it is still unpaid after fourteen days, the machine is paused with all data intact; it is never destroyed automatically.
- Three different things Cancelling the service, deleting the Hoop and deleting the account are three separate decisions, each confirmed on its own; they are never bundled. Cancelling does not delete your machine; before a Hoop is deleted you can export everything, and an encrypted backup is kept for thirty more days by default.
- If we stop If we discontinue a service or the company closes, we give notice in advance and make sure you have time to export all your data and move your Hoop to a machine of your own.
Changes, law and contact
Changes to these terms are announced on this page with a new date; changes that affect your rights are also sent to you by mail. Mandatory consumer protection law where you live takes precedence over these terms. If there is a dispute, write to us first and we will try to settle it with you.
